branding | an era of consumer revolution
Re-construct the notion of consumers, contextually to the social sphere; then branding becomes relational and real. Research must be fluid in its ability to capture the spirit of global humanity.. consumers don’t live in a void.

branding's future:
Branding’s construct.. must move: intentionally social, organically didactic: teach, uplift, entertain, sell. * Effectual campaigns will merge: curation as message incubators of global needs + value = wants. * Branded messages will shift towards the curation of all known cultural values, aligned in a matrix that compels social growth, globally. * The sale component is simply one...

Future Thought
2012 politics will push corps to directly address America’s diverse urban segments with sustainable community strategies. * There will be a strategy split between General Market adv and corporate sponsored activism; smart branding will do both. * 2014: Traditional Adv & SocialMedia firms will continue to dominate billing/ market share; ethnic agencies will lead grassroots...

Branding Centered In Consumer Value
engagecriticalmass: The Goal: to explore who is behind the mask; one branded global culture of Consumers. That can’t be done in focus groups, census stats.. Branding must become personal, centered in value as the new-Americana forms; one affected and effected by global migration, transculturalism … merging and converging of cultures.

bittersweetasian: Animated Short Film by Steve Nguyen & Choz Belen I am really looking forward to the release of the short film “Hibakusha.” And if you just paused to say, “What?” Don’t worry, that’s what the film is for. But if you’re curious, hibakusha refers to the surviving victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Next year (which is actually not to far away eh?) -...

well, I say: Culture does matter in branding and advertising; this extreme example shows that taste is indeed an element of affect and effect of a culture’s lexicon(s). Research should reduce an advertising planner’s assumptions, and allow them to see a specific enclave or region with unique needs, storyline, execution, and, yes — engagement tactics also differ, contextually to...
